Strings are in motion in this thrilling evening of ensemble playing featuring our top-tier musicians. The concert opens with Andrew Norman’s Gran Turismo for Eight Violins (2004), a virtuosic showcase of speed and kinetic energy performed by eight outstanding violinists, including Stefan Jackiw and Cho-Liang Lin. Next, hear the lyrical elegance of Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet in A Major, led by Berlin Philharmonic’s principal clarinetist Wenzel Fuchs and an elite string ensemble of our Festival stars.

The programme culminates with Brahms’ beloved Sextet in B-flat Major, Op. 18, one of the most popular and cherished works in the chamber music canon, performed by a stellar sextet including Yura Lee, Timothy Ridout, Gary Hoffman and members of the Simply Quartet. This concert promises a powerful celebration of string virtuosity and musical brilliance that no chamber music enthusiast will want to miss.
