Exceptionally talented violinist and a first class musician”
Maestro Zubin Mehta on Dan Zhu

“Truly brilliant, compelling, and polished”Boston Musical Intelligencer on Dan Zhu

In the twilight years of the Austro-Hungarian empire, there was a second renaissance of culture in Vienna. Although Mahler and Strauss are better known for their grand symphonic and operatic works, their chamber music, composed in their youth, already shows the blueprint for their later masterpieces. And Korngold was praised by Mahler and Strauss as “the next Mozart” – ready to take the crown as their successor of the Viennese musical world.
