The 11th Festival will feature 34 musicians in 6 concerts, taking place from 8-16 January 2020.

Highlights of the 2020 Beare’s Premiere Music Festival include:

  • The Complete Brandenburg Concertos: a rare opportunity to hear all six of JS Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos performed by over 25 acclaimed musicians, all in one unforgettable opening concert (8 Jan 2020)
  • Film Meets Music: Tan Dun has arranged his epic film music for piano, violin and cello, played together with a video montage from the films Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (2000), Hero (2002), and The Banquet (2006). (11 Jan 2020)
  • Beethoven & Mustonen: Celebrated Finnish pianist and composer Olli Mustonen will perform his renowned interpretations of Beethoven along with his own compositions, including the Asian Premiere of a new work for tenor, cello and piano. (14 Jan 2020)
  • Mendelssohn Octet: The Festival Finale features the famous Mendelssohn Octet played like never before – using the composer’s original manuscript, the performance will include 150 bars of original music that was never published. (16 Jan 2020)
