Get ready for a thrilling blast of brass from Australian quintet, Shrewd Brass! Known for their lively and interactive style, Shrewd Brass will take kids on a fun-filled musical adventure with trumpet, trombone, French horn and tuba, performing a diverse programme featuring fanfares, movie medleys, dance tunes and more. Local favourite Fiesta Brass Quintet will join at the end, promising an afternoon of great music and fun that will inspire your young children with music!

Suitable for ages 5+. The concerts will be in English.

About Shrewd Brass

Formed in 1988 at the Victorian College of the Arts, Shrewd Brass combines superb music with rollicking laughs. A brass quintet comprising of professional musicians and music educators from jazz, musical theatre and classical music, Shrewd Brass has been touring for 20 years, and has developed a distinct, playful style of presentation. From dueling trumpet players to an out-of-control trombonist and a tuba player who needs assistance to stay in time, Shrewd Brass will bring a smile to all. With repertoire from Susato and Rossini to Gershwin and Mendez, Shrewd Brass explores the extremes of music in a light-hearted way that will keep audience delighted from beginning to end. From classical to contemporary music, jazz to fanfares and even opera, Shrewd Brass demonstrates the incredible versatility of these larger-than-life instruments through a fun and interactive performance.
