Formed in 1988 at the Victorian College of the Arts, Shrewd Brass combines superb music with rollicking laughs. A brass quintet comprising of professional musicians and music educators from jazz, musical theatre and classical music, Shrewd Brass has been touring for 20 years, and has developed a distinct, playful style of presentation. From dueling trumpet players to an out-of-control trombonist and a tuba player who needs assistance to stay in time, Shrewd Brass will bring a smile to all., With repertoire from Susato and Rossini to Gershwin and Mendez, Shrewd Brass explores the extremes of music in a light-hearted way that will keep audience delighted from beginning to end.
