Join acclaimed luthier and Beare’s Head of Scientific Research and Conservation, Robert Brewer Young, for a unique multi-sensory workshop series exploring the artistry and craftsmanship behind the exquisite huanghuali cello and string instruments. Each session focuses on one of the five senses—taste, smell, sound, sight, and touch. In this session, Sight: “Finding the Ghost Faces”, Faces”— you will unearth the mysterious “ghost faces”-like woodgrain of the huanghuali on a guided tour of the museum.
