“Plays classical violin with the charisma of a rockstar”
The Boston Globe

“…crystalline yet muscular playing.” The Financial Times

Grammy Award-winning artist Charles Yang brings you a dazzling night of classical virtuosity, jazzy rhythms and soulful grooves!

Recipient of the Leonard Bernstein Award, violinist and vocalist Charles Yang is renowned for his excellence across genres. A Juilliard graduate with classical roots, Charles transcends classical boundaries. He seamlessly blends classical and contemporary elements, bringing genre-defying creativity and electrifying energy to the stage.

Charles’ remarkable multiple talents have made him a sought-after performer at prestigious venues and festivals worldwide, including Carnegie Hall, the Musikverein, the Aspen Music Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, among many others. Charles is also the violinist and lead singer of the Grammy Award-winning string band Time For Three.

In this Hong Kong recital debut, Charles, together with his frequent collaborator, pianist Peter Dugan, will bring a genre-blending programme spanning from Monti and Ravel to The Beatles and jazz sets, in Charles and Peter’s own arrangements. This concert promises a fresh and exhilarating musical experience.
