Carnival of the Zodiac is a delightful adaptation of Saint-Saëns’ beloved Carnival of the Animals, reworked for Chinese New Year by Haylie Ecker. With additional movements by Dobrinka Tabakova and poems by Nury Vittachi, this is sure to become a Hong Kong classic! First performed in the 2013 Hong Kong International Chamber Music Festival (now Beare’s Premiere Music Festival).
For ages 5 or above. Narration in English and Cantonese.

Ringo Chan (viola) and Eric Fung (clarinet) has to withdraw from the advertised performance of “Carnival of the Zodiac”. We are grateful to have violist Yu Sun and clarinettist Chen Chiu-yuan to step in for the performance. The other details remain unchanged.

A perfect free event before our fun family concert Carnival of the Zodiac! Join illustrator Maoshan (貓珊) and Aura Music’s Kilian Chan as they guide you and your children through the music of Carnival of the Zodiac with illustration. Come with your favourite costumes of your zodiac!
Suitable for children ages 5 or above. Event conducted in English.
