Yuja Wang. Miloš. Narek Hakhnazaryan. Gabriela Montero. These are just some of the world-renowned artists who have made their Hong Kong debuts—thanks to Premiere Performances.

Ten years ago, chamber music was practically non-existent in HK. In 2007, there were seven chamber music performances. By 2015, there were 121—thanks to Premiere Performances.

Andrea D. Fessler—an avid consumer of culture—founded Premiere Performances in 2007 to fill these musical voids. She saw the demand for classical music concerts but lamented the lack of solo recitals and chamber music, both vital components of the cultural landscape of every world city.

Over the past ten years, children and adults from all walks of life and all parts of Hong Kong have been inspired by the music and artists presented by Premiere Performances. Audiences can enjoy world-class recitals and chamber music at the most affordable prices in the city, making these concerts accessible to all.

Especially exciting is Premiere Performances’ regular presentation of up-and-coming artists, the ones getting big recognition as rising stars elsewhere in the world. “You heard them here first”—thanks to Premiere Performances.
